Je Suis Charlie

Hey Mom,

I am sitting in my cozy apartment listening to the radio. I am sure you have heard of the terrorist attack in Paris, where I live! Luckily I live in the 4th Arrondissement on the safe Ile Saint Lious. This however didn't prevent the word from spreading quickly to my neighborhood and throughout all of Paris.12 people were killed in the office of a satirical newspaper company called Charlie Hebdo, hence the title of this post. The suspects of this crime have been found and killed, two in a printing shop in Dammartin-en-Goele, a small town outside of Paris and the other in a kosher shop inside of Paris who took at least one person hostage. 

I think that this is an outrageous act by the terrorists. These comics are not new to France and  although they can seem very extreme to foreign viewers they have been around for a long time.

                       Jacques, Zaire, et Zoe arrivent à la gare de Lille. Dans la gare ils achètent les billets pour aller à Paris. Ils achètent les billets au guichet après qu’ils font la queue. Jacques, le père, aussi achètent du lait au chocolaté pour les deux filles. Ils attendent dans la salle d’attente pendant qu’ils boivent le lait au chocolat. Dix minutes avant l’arrivée du train ils attendent le train sur la quai. Quand le train arrive ils montent le train et ils quittent Lille.
                       J’attends dans la gare du Nord. Je suis très excité parce-que mes amis arrivent en vingt minutes. Pendant les vingt minutes je lis mon livre. Mes amis sont Jacques Loufon, le père de Zaire et Zoe Loufon
